Goals and Objectives
2010-2012

The Zonta Club of Northern Valley, NJ reaffirms its commitment to its mission to improve the status of women and to provide service at the global and local level. During this biennium, the officers and directors of the Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield will emphasize four specific goals in conjunction with those of Zonta International.

• We resolve to strengthen our identity and gain public recognition on both the international and local levels. We will increase communication with our legislators to stop gender inequality, change attitudes that foster inequality, and urge legislation to prohibit inequality.
  
  
• The officers and directors will continue to focus the club's service efforts to three organizations: The YWCA Bergen County Rape Crisis Center, Shelter Our Sisters and The Women's Rights Information Center. This coincides with Zonta International's efforts to combine service and advocacy through fundraisers to prevent violent crimes including sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence.
  
  
• Further, the officers and directors resolve to financially support the 2010-2012 Zonta International service projects including: Zonta/Unifem, Zonta Star Network and Afghanistan.
  
  
• Finally, the officers and directors resolve to strengthen our organization by incorporating the third goal of Zonta International - "Recruit, Retain, and Rejuvenate."
