Club’s R.A.V.E. ( Rape And Violence Eradication) Walk
Set For May 2nd
Bergenfield: The Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield
will sponsor its 7th annual “R.A.V.E. (Rape And Violence
Eradication) Walk” on Sunday, May 2nd at 12:30. All proceeds
will be shared by Shelter Our Sisters and the Rape Crisis Center.
For
more than twenty years, both Shelter Our Sisters and the Bergen
County Rape Crisis Center of the YMCA of Bergen County have
been helping people deal with the trauma of domestic and sexual
violence. These organizations provide the practical, emotional,
and psychological support needed for survivors to begin the
healing process and carry on with their lives.
Zonta
is a worldwide business and professional service organization
dedicated to improving the status of women. One of the ways
that Zonta can accomplish its goal is by assisting organizations
such as SOS and the YMCA of Bergen County Rape Crisis Center.
R.A.V.E. Walk participants will assemble at the Teaneck Borough
Hall, corner of Cedar Lane and Teaneck Road, and proceed four
miles down Teaneck Road into Bergenfield along Washington Avenue
