Zonta Rose Day and International Women’s Day

The Zonta Club of Northern Valley, NJ along with Zonta Club members spanning the globe will be celebrating International Women’s Day and Zonta Rose Day March 8th. Zontians set aside March 8 to reflect on the achievement of the past year and prepare for the challengers ahead.

Zonta Rose Day was introduced at the 1984 Zonta International Convention in Sydney, Australia. The symbol is the yellow rose, a beautiful reminder of the vital work Zonta does to advance the status of women locally and worldwide.

The mission of Zonta is to advance the status of women through service and advocacy. Throughout the year the Zonta Club of Northern Valley, NJ will host three major fund raisers, A Gala Art Exhibit and Auction, March 23, 2007, its 10th Annual R.A.V.E. (Rape and Violence Eradication), Walk April 15, 2007 and its Annual Dinner/Fashion Show, October 23, 2007

All proceeds are put toward high school scholarships, scholarships for single female parents returning to college and local organizations that champion improving the status of women.
