Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield Schedules Annual R.A.V.E. Walk-a-Thon
Bergenfield
– The Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield will sponsor its
R.A.V.E. (Rape and Violence Eradication) Walk on Sunday, May
4.
Proceeds from the walk will benefit Shelter Our Sisters, a 24-hour
emergency shelter for Bergen County victims of domestic violence
and the Bergen County Rape Crisis Center-YWCA of Bergen County,
a 24-hour emergency hot line for victims of sexual assault.
The walk route is approximately four miles, starting at the
Town Center in Teaneck (corner of Cedar Lane and Teaneck Road)
and finishing at the Bergenfield Borough Hall.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the walk will begin
at noon. It will be held rain or shine.
The
Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield is part of a world-wide business
and professional service organization dedicated to improving
the status of women.
The
public is invited to join club members and support women and
children who are victimized by domestic violence and sexual
assault by participating in the walk.
A
minimum $10 donation is needed to participate and to receive
a free T-shirt.
