Bergenfield – The Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfield presented Anna Giangrande-Kronfeld with the Annual Single Mother Returning to Work Scholarship.

Anna Giangrande-Kronfeld completed her undergraduate work in science/psychology-zoology at Drew University in 1984. She is currently a homemaker for her two sons, Alexander (10 yrs) and Harrison (9 yrs) while attending Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison campus) towards a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Anna is a cancer survivor who underwent six months of chemotherapy, seven weeks of radiation and is now dealing with a difficult divorce. Currently in remission from lymphoma, Anna felt the credits toward a masters/doctorate would give her the tools to survive this difficult economy and be an asset in her desire to help men and women in tough situations. Anna volunteers in the Rainbows Program (art for children during divorce), JBWS (women in shelters and abusive situations), Summit Women's Center (self-esteem and empowering women), Strong Mothers-Safe Children, Library Services and mentor to other women fighting various cancers.

The Scholarship Committee of Zonta Club of Teaneck-Bergenfeld believes Anna Giangrande-Kronfeld exemplifies the goals of Zonta and the club is delighted to have her as our Adult Scholarship recipient for 2003.
